uhh uhh ohh, that man could supe up about anything
I've seen a few Wellcraft Excaliber SCS boats listed, I am not interested, but wondered If they are a cousin to the Scarab SCS. I know Wellcraft makes Scarab. The deck and rigging are completely different, i.e. right hand drive. The hull, however, looks very similar. Anyone know anything about these? Same hull mold? |

How many hours were on the boat when you sold it?

I can't help but think this could be the same boat. Was your boat stock?
It has stock prop and the 26p 4 blade. Small world. The aluminum trailor is a nice feature. I love the boat but am concearned w/ the sellers description. If you were the third owner then I would be the sixth, not the second/third as the dealer would like me to believe. The boat is beautiful, It looks like it just rolled out of the factory. |

Yes briefly, I think the guy realized I know more about the boat then he does. I am going to schedule a test drive soon. The salesman claims he bought the boat from the dealership(it is in his garage, not the showroom), but it is still for sale. Kinda fishy. I am trying to decide how to play my hand. I have a strong down payment, but the boat is not in NADA, so I may see if he'll swap out the trailor or something so I don't have to bring as much capitol to the table. The boat is beautiful, but his story isn't jiving. I will buy it one way or another. How many hours did you put on the boat.

I appreciate all of your help and I will keep you posted. If you dig up any more info let me know. If I do get the boat I'll gladly bring it down to FL for a reunion, and of course anytime you are in Nashville you'll have a boat to to go out on.
If you have any pictures or hull #'s etc. email me at [email protected] :ernaehrung004: |
Great Pictures! I am going to find out if the boat is on consignment. If it is I will try to contact the owner directly. Either way I will listen to the 1 owner story again with a folder under my arm, and when I open the engine hatch, I will pull out the pics and compare the #s. We'll see if I get a little leverage that way. The salesman is fixated on the $7K trailor so maybe I'll offer 7K less and drive it home down the Cumberland, dry store it at Old Hickory, then buy a local trailor from a desperate dealer.
