Bump to keep the SCS thread at the top.

Need to upload some pics of the first launch and all the fun we've been having!

Man, this boat gets a lot of attention - including from much bigger performance boats!

Loving it!

I know what you mean about the attention these boats get Rob.Labor Day is typically the last day of the year the big boats are out on our locale lake.I got several thumbs up today from much larger boats on the water.

People just stare and gawk at these boats as they idel by in the no wake zone.

On a sad note however,my boat will be winterized this weekend and in storage until next may....bummer.

We threw down this weekend too and its true people love these boats. Well i give up on gps this season its been one thing after another no batteries left at home and this weekend my brother in law gave me his old one and it justed search for a signal all weekend. best i can tell you is it blurred my vision like my gsxr does, when i put it to the wood and trimmed it to 4900 rpm. I also tried to do my impression of mv opening credits this weekend yahoo!!!!!

Prostreeter, look at the winter as project time - I've got a laundry list of stuff I want to do to the boat. Can't wait to dig in.

What prop are you guys running? I've got the stock 25"er on there and it honestly feels like it could take more. What is max rpm on the 502?

Though the boat does chine walk above 70 in 2-3 foot rollers - I wonder if I am trimming it out too far. When we test drove the boat, it was rock solid at 75mph but no waves, so am looking for more stability in some rougher water.

Thoughts?

I have tried a 24 pitch 4 blade,23 pitch Mirage plus and a 25 pitch Mirage thats been lab'd.24 pitch was good out of the hole and that's it.23 pitch was blowing out of the water.Bought a 25 Miage and night & day difference.Cruising at 55 then hammer down the 25 has a great bite to it.Max rpm on mine is 5200 but I've added aftermarket exhaust and some porting/polishing on the heads.

As for chine walking...use your trim tabs....settles the boat down.

Boat didn't come with any tabs - they're on the laundry list . . .

OK...that explains the chine walking.Once tabs are installed the boat is rock solid.

Do they scrub speed?

How do I size them? I'm looking at 12x17's at the moment. Was told you don't want to overtab.

They do rob speed somewhat...not much though.

Just measured mine...16x11 dual ram.
