The eventual buyer of this boat will have special needs/interests and be willing to ignore the very things you are basing your decision on. He/she will buy this boat solely for the love of what it represents. There are obviously not many of these type buyers around these days. I oughta know.

PS, boat was built for Wellcraft execs to do poker runs. They didn't care about cabins, resale value, loud exhaust, etc.

Good luck with your search.

You're exactly correct about this boat. It is what it is. I own a TS boat and wanted this one for exactly what it is. It will be delivered in a few days. Have not seen it or been in it but the seller (Jim Earle) has been great to work with, and if a few things check out its a done deal. I know I will drop more money into it, but still feel in the end it will be a great boat for me for some time. Unfortunatley the buyers for this type of boat are few and far between, and I will get hossed financally in the end. However boating is cheaper then therapy, and my kind of cocaine (meaning every one likes a high, just so happens my cocaine is boats and its legal:)

LEOPA has some cool poker runs, Jeff Wilson throws a poker run (baja sponsored), and roger from the board throws a great fun run some time in June. Every weekend is a blast, 4-5 boats always meet up and try to drink the islands dry (no success yet)

Good luck.

I spoke with him(l s) approx 9 months ago.The price of a 38 (no cabin ) basic interior set up no engines ,drives, headers exhaust BUT with tanks tabs ,guages throttles was Approx 100 grand (depending upon the cost of hull material)That cost came right about the time he got involved with Eliminator.

Hunster, remember there are no 41 apaches selling for 125 grand .I guess SLeafs 41 Apache Warrior that sold last month for mid 40s was an imitation Apache .

Nykamp 03-07-2008 06:03 PM

There are no big powered #6 APACHE going for 125.

REDDEATH 03-07-2008 07:46 PM

Preditar a 41 apache was sold last year for 125 grand (twin 1000s number 6 drives)The Lynch Mob Racing is a 45 Apache with twin 1000,6 drivess and can be bought right now for 125 .INEX is a Tripple engine (1000 each )that can be bought NOW for 125 .

REDDEATH 03-07-2008 07:55 PM

As much as you dont want to admit it( because it certainly will devalue the 20 year old Apaches that owners are asking 300 grand for) simply check the offshore only classifyeds all the above APACHES I listed are 6 drive and thouand horsepower per engine.
