Default 86 scarab 30' prop guess

i have a 86 kv trs drives w/twin 468's at 475hp. was spinning 4 blade cleaver's 24 p. @ 5,000 rpm with 400hp getting 72mph. any input on differant props or no change and turn them @ 5500 rpm or so. thank's

Where do the new engines make their power? If peak HP is at 5500 then prop there. I would first try the props you have now to set a base line and go from there. No need to start buying different props till you know your base line.

But i think you will probably end up with Bravo1 26 pitch, or 27 mirages+. So if you can borrow some thats where I would start.

that's what i thought, these old cleavers are reworked & have 1 hell of a holeshot but i wasn't shure what pitch to start with in a bravo 1. the engines are being preped for the dyno soon. with the new cams power should be in that 5-5500 rpm. they are a custom grind as where the old ones, as i said they spun about 4900-5000 rpms with the 24p cleaver.
