Hi everyone. I have P-29 #5 in the lake erie Islands area. It has the standard power and runs in the 76-77 mph range. Any other P-29 owners have a problem with the paint on the aluminum windshield and what have you done to repair it? Also, does anyone have a solution to the chaulking effect on the no skid front deck? Other than thes minor issues boat is perfect! Hey eric, what is your boat running top speed? I almost bought that boat last june, then they were asking $52,000, sounds like you got a good buy, even if the boat did spend time on the bottom!!

the paint on mine is cracked and coming off too. it happened after it sat for two years while the motors were getting built.my boat guy says he can take care of it while he's putting scoops on.

Eric have you tried hitting the search on the P-29 there is alot of threads on it. Try Scarab P-29 too.

I would really like to know the info on it how the word started on how the boat was sunk for a week the boat is truly immaculate even after thorough investigation inside and out all the way down to pulling the gauge panels out there were no signs of water damage or grime behind panels also the interior is very clean no stains or anything on the bed cushions i am just curious to find out some details on it.it may sound crazy but i wouldn't really be upset if i knew it had sank ive had it for about two months with no problems so theres no suspicion of foul play on the sale but i know that anythings possible.

The stringers and transom are what you need to worry about. All the other stuff can be cleaned or replaced easily.

I would like to see pics first, but I believe the 5 31s in question were built for the Scarab High Performance Boat School the was held on/near Sanibel Island for a few years. They were all painted to look somewhat like the P-29s.
