What is the top speed anyone has been able to get out of the hull. I have had my 502 worked and the best I can get it 82. I can turn a 29 pitch prop at 5000 RPM and dont get anymore speed than turning a 25 pitch prop at the same RPM. Any suggestions.

Where does your rev limiter kick in?

Drive ratio is critical for helping to determine a prop. For instance, if you are really turning a 25 to 5000 rpm and achieving a speed of 82, you must have a 1.36 drive ratio as with a 1.5 at that pich and rpm you would only be able to run in the mid to low 70s

It doesn't make sense to me either. The 82 is under perfect conditions, 1 foot chop half a tank of fuel and no passengers cool day. Probably was hitting 5100 to 5200 RPM. I have tried 27 29 and even a four blade 32. Every prop got me around 5100 except the 32. Best I could get was 4800 out of it. Out of all of them the GPS stayed in the high 70's to low 80's.
