[QUOTE=38KV;2711182]Here's mine. Located in Stockholm, Sweden.
I bought it almost 6 years ago with 454/420's and TRS's, but re-rigged last year with 598/750's and SSM#VI's. Very nice looking KV....nice job on the repower and rerig! I have watched some of your videos on Youtube. Who built your engines over there? |

But my own 598’s are basically a pair of Tyler Crockett-motors that I bought used (with 30 hours) two years ago. The idea was to tear them down for overhaul as soon as I got them, but I had to us them “as it” last year because of the 2 month late delivery. The motors ran pretty good for 20 more hours, but the season 2007 ended in a fried crankshaft as a result of mismatching oil pump driveshaft geometry. http://www.northoffshore.com/sad.gif It’s very aggravating when a broken $20 drive shaft causes $5000 expenses in new crank, rods, pistons, etc... http://www.northoffshore.com/glare.gif So, I did a total rebuild of both engines this year. And also a couple of changes. Most of the internal parts were just excellent, but I wasn’t too happy with some minor things. Mostly in the valve train, and on the ignition side. The 598’s are now top notch, and I’m very happy with them today! http://www.northoffshore.com/thumbsup.gif Here are some pics from the rebuild. |

Just checking in, scarab kv............. the dash I rebuilt were the original holes that were in the boat, no change there, just new gauges. You are right with the sign, I did pattern mine after bill taylors. Did a nice job I think. Hey Jim , Looks like you are having fun with that boat. Still looking for my plates though! Keep the pics coming, still looking for that special 43.

BTW...I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for those plates. Jim doesn't always play well with others. :D |
