JetJock love your boat, too. When I was fulfilling my dream (buying an '80's Scarab III) you were buying your MV. Sorta feel a link to your boat because of the timing. Love the power on your boat, too. My :2cents: on your deck is I would paint it back to original. Love the way it is now, just love the original more.

I was working as a summer waterman, 15 years old, when I love Miami Vice and I told myself I would one day by a Scarab III (for some reason I loved them a little more and I really don't know why). Finally made the dream come true.

My boat is like an virgin...never been touched and I mean really NOTHING was changed or modified when I bought the boat...I was the first one changing the wires and plugs!
No extra holes has been drilled...inside, outside - still it's in total mint condition (thanks for mentioning my boat MikeyFIN).

History:
I bought the boat in Spain 2003, owned by a saudi as previously mentioned.
I didn't believe my eyes when I saw her - she was a 100 times better then I've ever could have imagined.
Brought her home in a truck (unfortunatley the trucking company gave her some skratches on the side during the transport), the boat is kept in my heated shop all year round...but as i said this summer I will put her in water
after 3 years out.
Only modification I've done is removed the original GIL manifolds of and replaced it with GLM aluminum...still has the GIL's on the shelf (nothing wrong with them, only blew a gasket and couldn't get a new one). Let me know what you think of her :D

Had the Scarab at Kellys Island this weekend. I had the sign up telling the history of this boat. Many people were taking pictures and smiling. Maybe reliving their past. We were docked beside COOL BREEZE in his powerplay. he read the sign and replied to his buddy "YEA SO". Well he did have a nice boat. Not unlike all the others out there. Maybe he was miffed that no one took pictures of his boat. I WANTED TO TELL HIM I WOULD NOT TRADE HIM EVEN UP, I guess there is a reason they call the area where we dock "COCKBOAT ALLEY"
