Pictures here include this boat with Rick Bravo Sr. And Jr. (I think) original camera men for the show on the fore deck, Don (Crocket) an PMT (Tubbs) along with bad guy Frank Zappa on board along with a current photo.

I was working as a summer waterman, 15 years old, when I love Miami Vice and I told myself I would one day by a Scarab III (for some reason I loved them a little more and I really don't know why). Finally made the dream come true.
Congrats guys and good luck with them.
Got all the episodes myself but no time to watch them.
A good buddy of mine has a Scarab III...
Like a inflated Magnum Maltese IMO.

My hat is off to all of you guys and gals with the MV KV's because while I like the Scarab III's best, the MV KV's are what, IMO, made Scarabs as desirable as they are. All of you have wonderful examples that I would be proud to own.
This is one of my favorite threads and I enjoy learning what I have.
Best wishes to you all.

Yes, there were a few Scarab III's in the show. The one you speak of made a few scenes in several episodes. Also, in my personal favorite episode, "The Great McCarthy" there is a Scarab III named "Black Jack"... wonder whatever happened to it?

Hey Jim, congrats on the purchase. I may have had something to do with the way your dash was redone. Back when Tom was restoring your boat I sent him some pics of my boat and I see he laid out the top row of gauges the way mine are done and did his Vice sign simular to the way Bill Taylor had when he owned my boat. I'll put pics in the next post
