Got the hatches off and disasembled and ready for glass beading and some fresh white paint!

And I am not done yet but at least she is running. There wi be plenty more pictures this winter as I will be building a new engine hatch and redoing the hatches along with some engine cosmetic dress ups!!

Roughed in the the new engine hatch. Now for some bracing and then to glass and paint it this winter!

Looks awesome!

Predator Powerboats is doing something similar. will you be doing a light-weight hatch with balsa core?

No balsa for me! The plywood in the pictures is the core, 1/2 marine grade plywood. I weighed the hatch yesterday and it is 55lbs. Expect to add another 25-30lbs. of glass and resin which will still be about a third lighter tan the hatches currently on it!

Glassed the top side of the hatch today, tonight or tomorrow I do the bottom half! Happy with the progress so far!
