I hope you set it up nose down otherwise you ll have water coming in towards the inside of the garage on the boat!!!! Nice pictures!!!!!

Knowing Jim, he has performed exact mathematical calculations involving angles and a friction coefficient to determine the proper angle needed to shed water from the bow at an even rate around the entire nose so no puddling will happen. Then he probably designed in CAD a leveling system to raise the rear of the boat to the desired angle and fabricated it from scratch. After all of that he was most likely seen on the roof of his garage with a garden hose verifying his calculations worked exactly as predicted.

Am I close Jim? :lolhit:

Fabbed up a drive holder and started to break these drives apart! These things are so simply in design it's crazy!

Can you show some more pics and description of taking the drives apart. I've rebuilt the transom assembly, but never been inside the tail portion.

I will get some pics of the jig I made up to split the case and give you some basic directions. It's pretty straight forward though!

Thanks! She is going through another major(and hopefully last) modification. Replacing the TRS drives with Kaama's which has involved an entire rerig of the engine compartment and transom! Should be back in the water by spring!

Great project, you are doing a really nice job....and it never stops! Been working on my Scarab for 27 years. We are refreshing the engines this winter and unless something breaks (not likely) this should last my shift 😳

Time to start sealing these holes up! 8 layers of 1700 per side, maybe a bit overkill!! :)
