...they weren't cheap and I feel Brad gave me a pretty good deal given the friends we had in common. They are Dart blocks, new, with lost of "nickel" in them for strength and every part he put in there was full race/best you could get. The stock 350 were good if we went to 383 but to get over 400 the walls were to thin for the HP he wanted to get to. He put in a new computer system, rebuild and bored the intake manifold and fuel injection system was completely reworked. At 11:1 it runs great on 92. They are small blocks so not sure about them being based on an old 400. I'll PM you rough cost. Brad didn't do a lot small blocks especially like these so he put a lot of enthusiasm into them as he did most of his builds and I let him get a creative as he could on this build. Brad passed with the top end needing some more tuning and i've been talking with Eddie Young at Young Marine about finishing up his work, they thought of builds the same way and have some common ideas on how a motor should work and how it should be tuned.

The hull is great shape for 1997. It has a 454 bored 20 over in it now with headers and external hydraulic steering. runs about 75 now. I'm looking right now to redo the dash and update all the gauges with livorsi gauges. Are the any known common issues these boats have that I should look out for? its the EMI Thunder Manifolds/ headers. motor also has roller cam set up and higher compression now as well. the speedos reads just passed 80 so I figured that's about low to mid 70's I'll be putting in a GPS speedo soon then I'll know for sure.
