    i was looikin at that boat about 2yrs ago, 4 people and a half a tanlk of gas we ran about 69mph owner said he did 71, boat was flawless very clean, the price was just to high to me at that time. yyu got a good boat low hours .

    Usually what that means is that the power range of the engine has reached its peak and is on the downward slope of the peak HP. You want to prop the boat at peak HP, which is in the 5000-5200 range. If it runs 5000RPM with fuel and people and then 5200 with light fuel and 1 person then that will usually give you the best overall performance. Only way to tell real HP and TQ peaks is on a dyno. If they are Merc stock engines Merc has the info already available. You also don't want to over prop it and run it in peak TQ.

    What questions do you have on the rear seat? I recently rebuilt mine this past summer, much stronger than the stock one and will never rot out.
