Finnally got to look at this boat in close detail. Had a survey done by the same guy that did it 6 years ago. In '96 he rated the boat at average condition. Now he rated it in fair condition. I compared the 2 surveys and the surveyor noted that this boat was very dirty compared to before. The owner had it winterized for 2 years. The owner agreed that If I still want the boat he will work with me on cleaning it up. He ( the owner ) has agreed to pay to have the carbs rebuilt, new batteries, buy any fuzzy wallpaper that fell off the walls because of mildew and anything else that is needed to get the boat back into the condition it was in before ( average). He said that the only thing he would not pay for is recovering the interior cushions. For the drivetrain it has BBC motors with Gale bankes turbos on each engine. Water to air intercoolers. vacume controlled wastegates 2 engine oil coolers per motor. Speedmaster II outdrives with dual hydraulic steering dampners, K planes. Mechanical outdrive and K plane indicators. How rare is this drive package. The owner had both outdrives rebuilt 6 years ago. In the last 6 years he said he had it in the water a total 4 times ( none in 01, a couple days in 00, and for a total of 4 weeks between 96 to 99) . Between 96 and now the hour meters have a 1 more hour . Can anybody tell me more about what kind of engines'drives were available in the Kaamas.
