NEW here to the form. sorry for this being my itro post but its the only foroum i could find for scarabs. ive always liked scarabs and finaly am able to buy one. I found this one on craigslis and was wondering if it was a good deal or should i keep looking. i would like to know what are the pros and cons of this year and model, anything helps, i have not been able to find anything about this boat.

The boat is a 1989 26 sprint Scarab center console. It has a 250 EFI 1999 Merc with a NEW power head not a rebuild. The motor has about 20 hours on the new power head and the water pump was also redone at that time. This is a trully a turn key boat that needs nothing to go out right now. I guess it all depends on what you mainly want to do with the boat. $14,500 sounds a little high to me in this economy, especially with something hanging off the back...lol. Dont take this personally, but to me...it just doesnt look right/good sir. Sorry.

its an 80's scarab..no matter how shiney and clean it looks, check the stringers bulkheads and transom carefully!!!!

Not long ago I saw a 26 center console with 496mag/bravo. Were there many of those made? Any other center console stern drive Scarabs for sale?

Guess that means they wern't a very popular boat?
