i had 440 s in my 30 silverton flybridge boat really had some get up and go for a big girl tons of torque but she was an in board the bell housing is going to be the problem maybe some kind of Chevy to Chrysler adapter but i must say for as much as i liked those 440s i think the chevy is a better design and much more abundant parts are available

i am not sure about ,say a trs setup that has a transmission but for bravo it is a specific bell housing that has 2 attaching points to the gimble housing as i was saying though you may be able to get an adaptor say from a company like trans adapt that will let you put the gm bell housing from merc on the 440

Have you heard of JW Transmission in FL ? ... they make these bells to adapt diff trans to diff motors. You think you could eyeball that ? ... I do have a chance to pickup a RUFF Scarab with no motors ....cheap ... NOT sure of the outdrives though ...

i am sure some one else will chime is soon about why this can't be done but there are other things to think about like flywheel and coupler problems that would have to be figured out

Plenty of bell housings out there for big block mopar to Borg Warner transmissions, prob all out of cruisers with straight inboards, no performance exhaust around for them, other than that no reason it won't work, but would be cheaper and easier to big block chevy's in. As far as flywheels you'd have to move the ring gear, on the mopar flywheel, and a regular trs flex plate should bolt up
