Buy the -2 lower ... you can always run a spacer if needed ... much easier to sell if its an epic failure !

My buddy just sold one with a mild 496 stoker making close to 500 and that thing would get pretty scary!

I run 600 hp on my 22 scarab at about 85. Standard lower on a bravo one X. Depends on the amount of fuel on how wild the ride. It's not for rookie operators. I can't imagine a -2 Inch

What prop are you using??? cause I have a 525efi on it, with a -2 imco shortie and still didn't find the prop for it :-( plenty of stern lift above 70mph!! Best I ran till now is 78mph with a hydro P5, i tried a Bravo but plenty of china walk with a 4 bladed. P5x plenty of slip and very slow accellation.

D harry where is the propshaft in relation to the bottom of the hull. Scarab seemed to always burry the xdimension on single engine boats. A -2 should carry the boat much better than in stock location. what pitch prop are you using? what rpm is your engine spinning? if you can spin more rpm's and reduce the pitch it will allow less stern lift. i know 525 efi's have rev limiter's but boats that run big hp around here spin 6000 rpm range.plus it is easier on the drive.
