Just throwing this out here to see if anyone else has had this happen. I have 89 excel 28 with 509 w/ 6-71 making little over 760 hp (dynoed) my question is i was runnin around 74-75 let out of throttle a little and the boat pretty muched layed on its side. Had it for a couple years never done that I did freshen motor over winter makin little more power now and its pushin through prop on the big end but never acted stupid. Any HELP would be great. thanks Justin

I did replace steering pin and all bushings in my transom assembly about 30 hours ago, i forgot to mention it does have a single imco external hydraulic assist on it. I havent looked to see if there is any slop in the cables.

If everything is good with the transom assembly I would consider the prop. What are you running for a prop? This hull likes the Mirage +. If you trying to run a four blade with a lot of pitch, the boat may be reacting to too much torque! One thing you could consider is changing gear ratio to 1:36 and spinning a smaller prop.

Im running 26p bravo one four blade, with 1.36 xr standard length sportmaster. I looked last night found the main bolt that holds the steering cable to the steering actuator on has alot of play in it. (1/2"-3/4") Any one had this happen, do they make a rebiuld kit or what is my best plan of attack. Thanks Justin
