Default Scarab 29 prop size

2000 29.5' twin 350 mag mpi, Bravo 1

So best I can find is these boats came with 23p props. Is this the best? I read some older threads of people saying they were going to experiment with 24 or 25 pitch but never could find anyone with results. What say everyone here? I have Mirage 21's right now that I have been dealing with but will be upgrading this year and need to know what to buy, or have mine turned to 23's

23 M+s will likely be the best all around prop. Really depends on what/how you boat? No one prop does everything the best.

Yeah that sounds about right. You'd need to be pushing some more power for 25M+.

Looking for midrange and topend. Boat on a river where it it smooth most of the time if that matters.

My 29 came with 23p Laser II's on the Alpha units. The Lasers actually worked the best with the Alpha drives and the stock horsepower. However, you may want to call BBlades and get their specification sheet to assist with data collection regarding RPM and speed at WOT, etc. The 29 Scarab is sensitive, in a positive way, to X dimension changes.

I have small bocks and run 23plus & 25mirage. Boat came with 23plus, ran 68mph in perfect cond., ran 66 all day,,,,, never had chance to run 25 while stock
Update ,, Has been repowered slightly,,, Mostly run 25 now,,, has run best of 73mph

Charged_Scarab,, tell me more about "The 29 Scarab is sensitive, in a positive way, to X dimension changes." I'm waiting for one more change then want to change lowers. Do you have any interesting finding?
