Not that you asked for my 2 cents, but I would look at the swirl away style strainers with the single knob removable lid. I have had the Teague style with the multiple allen head lid screws, and they SUCK, when you are on the water and need to clean your strainer baskets out. Just a thought

The only problem with the single Knob strainer is that they have a issue with leaking under extreme pressures. Just my Two cents.

I’m in the process of laying out my wiring and figuring out what goes where. I was kind of dreading this but these old boat harnesses are simple and easy to figure out. I’m checking continuity on these toggles and they amazingly work but do look worn. Does anybody know a source to get these style of toggles?
I’ve got my saddle tanks sitting in place figuring fuel hose routing. I think I’m going to put my electric fuel switches on the right upper part of the engine bulkhead. They will be new. Raw water pumps will be new also. I’ve got some sea strainers and some trim pumps coming used from Sick Stinger (Mike). Also got the offshore mounts in place where they go. Still got to do drill the stringers when the motors are back out. It’s interesting how the motors are leaned back (Up in the front, down in the rear) with the Arneson setup. Much more so than a TRS setup. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...f606d2a61.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0a9257ead.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ff6c24c1d.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0330a6516.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...7972b0b96.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...d8d580b79.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...3ceebe54e.jpeg |

If your positioning your up & down engine hatch switches on the dash get some momentary switches......I had toggles ....accidently clicked the toggle in the down position overnight ...blew something motor, solenoids, fuse not sure yet.

I used New Wire Marine for my dash makeover. You can do a custom layout with the switches and panel You can also can have them pre-wired with pigtails to connect. They have multiple types of rocker switches. Sorry I don't have a close up pic of the switch panel.

Talk about slow go, everything is taking forever to do. I got a good deal from sick stinger on some sea strainers and trim pumps. Also new sea pumps, pulleys and brackets.
I’m having to buy lots of stainless nuts washers and bolts. I’ve probably made 20 runs to Lowe’s and fastenal in the last two weeks just for stainless hardware. I’m done with that after blowing two hours on some bolts that Lowe’s didn’t have and fastenal couldn’t even order. I’m just gonna order them off the internet now. I got the sending units adjusted for my tanks and installed, and the port tank installed in the boat. I had to buy some aluminum straps to make that work. Also did a bunch of work to sturdy up and adjust the cabin door. The dowels were broken in it. Also fitting the gauges and hole sawing the bulkheads for the wiring. I have some black auto meter gauges I’ll be using. I’m going to try to find a good small enough chart plotter to put in the 2 upper left gauge positions. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4428a621e.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ee4960ac8.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...a1948a064.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...39ef80fb0.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...f991782ca.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...baa4179e5.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b54cdb71e.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4d50bb0cb.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...f4a8d56de.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...9d74076b2.jpeg |
