Thanks, I know at some point my lucks going to turn better. But currently the wife and I are cooped up at home recovering from covid19. Thankfully we haven't been very sick and I think we are on the tail end of it. The boats in a separate building from the body shop and I might get up there and work on it after hours in a few days.

You've certainly had your share of setbacks but always manage to push through and move on. I'm sure this latest one won't slow your enthusiasm.
I wish you and Mrs.B a speedy recovery, the boat can wait. RR |

We’ve been getting something done lately. Micah has been cleaning/polishing the bottom with 1500 grit on a DA. We’ve found some divets and gouges I wasn’t aware of. No big deal. It’s repairable in the gel. The bottom is generally in real good shape actually. I ground down the old water intakes holes (already glassed on the inside) and got them ready for glassing the outside.
I’m also working on getting the motor mounts positioned on the stringers and getting ready to drill holes in the stringers. Also trying to figure out how I want to arrange all the hardware in the engine compartment. I’ve been thinking of this off and on for four years lol. I’m thinking about batteries mounted on each side, then having the trim pumps above them (two on each side, one above the other) Also gotta figure out where and how to configure the fuel valves and whether to go with manual valves or electric solenoids (I have 3 tanks). I want it to look good so the old sea strainers that came with the boat aren’t gonna do it. Also my trim pumps are too ugly. I’m gonna be purchasing something more sightly. I want my engine compartment to look clean. I’ll be basically rigging everything, then take it back apart to be painted. I’ll be painting the engine compartment and transom before I get the exterior of the hull painted. So that’s where I’m at right now. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b36ecd90d.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b07aaf40c.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...956636cf5.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4d110f51c.jpeg |
