Will need hydraulic steering to fix that. There are a lot of factors to cause that. Like which prop is loaded more while running at that particular moment.

It has the stock merc power steering. I do find the steering super easy to turn lock to lock, like one finger easy. Way easier than any other boat Ive been in. Is there something you can tighten?
My 91 excel with factory hydraulic steering was like that, drove that boat with your fingertips. The steering was very sensitive and boat responded to the slightest wheel movement. I recall resting my arm firmly against the side of the bolster as a steady rest when steering with one hand because the wheel offered zero resistance.

None of Mine have not done that. Do you have piggy back hydraulic steering which does not have a hydraulic helm?

Yes the 91 I use to own had piggy back hydraulic steering from the factory. My 89 excel and my fountain both have full systems with the hydraulic helm. Totally different feel, Hydraulic helm gives a much tighter steering feel.

Do you have hydraulic rams on the outside of the transom attached to the outdrives?

Ok then that's just standard power assist steering. I would at least add a tiebar between the drives if it doesn't already have it. Piggy back external hydraulic setup is a nice upgrade if you come across a clean used setup. Not really necissary until you run over 75 mph or so.
