Default 91 Scarab 38 on a Diet

I am rebuilding my 1991 38 E-lite aka Elite . It had 502 in it ,but there long gone. So I'm running outboards on it. I have got the weight down to around 5500Lbs witch is lighter than the Raider 38 that was 7000Lbs. So if any one is looking for 38 Elite parts let me know.

You said the magic words, “38 Raider”. Not too many people know of that boats existence. Love to see your Elite!

Yes I live in Sarasota Fl I worked on a 38 raider with Mercury 3.4 300 AKA Washing Machine,s LOL. Back then Mercury was having trouble with those engine the block casting's were not good until Cosworth started casting them ,but the engine had got a bad rap, and no one wanted them. I can go on more about that engine, but not today. SO any way we took the two 3.4s off ,and rigged 3 Mercury 200s on it . it was faster and dependable. It rode the waves like a dream. So with todays outboards I'm sure it will be better.
