I have a 2004 HD with the Duramac Diesle and I pull my 38' Scarab kv and I can't even tell it is back there.The trailer is tri axle with surge brakes on all 3 axles and stopping is not a issue.I agree a 1500 is a light truck for long distence but it will pull it but if you get a little out of shape at any time look for a different truck to use better safe then sorry! my kv is 9100lbs dry with a 204 gallon fuel tank the weight jumps when fuel is added so use your head.
