Question New Boat

Recently (1-1-04) purchased a new 2000 29' Scarab, 2-350's, (8 dealer hours, never registered) from a dealer in Pittsburg, Penn. Can anyone tell me if this is a Larry Smith Scarab or a Genmar Scarab. Ran the boat on the trailer and getting ready to put it in the water. Called Wellcraft and the factory warranty is still in effect from the date of purchase. I'm just wondering about boat handling and performance and if I should look out for anything. Traded in a 23' Wellcraft Excalibur with a 502, just wanted a bigger boat for Lake Ponchatrain. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
T.K.

I believe it would be the Wellcraft.

Why be afraid? The Wellcraft Scarabs are well built, and they really stand behind the warranty. Enjoy your new 29, that is a great boat!

Thanks for the feedback, read some not so good posts about Wellcraft and Genmar and about the quality going down so I wasn't quite sure where my boat fell as far as the quality issue went. Looking forward to putting it in the water this weekend to finish the breaking in process. Any hints or comments you can forward to me will be appreciated.
Thanks,
T.K.
