89 Scarab 34' Excell
Working on an 89' scarab Excell 34. Looking for a hatch Cover for my cabin. As well as I want to change my cabin door from Smoke Plexi to White lexan. Any Ideas on where I can source this stuff out.
Planning to put in a pair of Marine Diesel V8 350's. What are your thoughts on the engine package?
Anyone can point me to where I can get a cover and a source for lexan?
Ill post pics tomorrow

The OEM for the plexi was a place called "Viplex" in Sarasota. Not sure if they're still in business, but that's who would have had the mold for the cabin door. Other manufacturers can duplicate it, easy if you can give them the existing door.
If I'm not mistaken, the hatches were custom fabricated in the factory. The mechanism used to close and lock them was not a very good design, perko makes it and the parts are still available in places like BoatUS. Not sure what to recommend you do there, I know the big hatch companies don't make one to fit since they're angled in a strange fashion.

I have to replace both of my hatches also and plan on taking one to a plastics shop and see if they can duplicate one.
The two hatches are not the same size so I can't just have two of the one made.
