I tried one last night, it slowed the boat by 4 mph . I was spinning a labbed 26 bravo 1 to 5900rpm @76.4.
The boat ran last week 5600 @ 79.8 .
The best the boat has run is 80.7
What kind of speeds are you seeing ?
When I had the stock 502 I ran a 22 Quad 4 but now I prefer the bravo , it has a little less transom lift.

That's pretty cool. It's good to see someone else running one of these. Personally I think the boat is pretty under rated. It isn't the fastest hull but it rides good.
I'm thinking that a 5 blade might help with the slip numbers and pick up some speed. IT's just too much work to add an extention box, with the box and a shorty I'm sure the boat would pick up.
Where are you located ? Got any pictures ? if so email them too me.
I'm running a N/A 540 with an XR drive. Any idea on how much power your making?

I pretty much had to re rig the whole boat. Hyd. steering, solid motor mounts, fuel system, gauges, last year I added the Victory stainless trim tabs and they really helped.
I figured my motor made around 675hp. I will send some pictures.
