25 Tempest would be a good place to start.

When I had my P22 I tested many props from B-Blades. The best prop was a Mirage Plus 25 then I had it labbed. It had a built 496 stroker engine. It was a blast to drive and turned heads. You certainly do not want a 4 blade prop on a light boat like that.

Cool vid..... Parents have shared a cottage for 30 years with family friends. The friends have a P22 since new. Last weekend I helped my brother pick up a car he bought for parts. The seller has an identical to the vid P22, except it has the 454 Mercruiser. I asked about his P22. Turns out its for sale as well. Seller has health problems and can't boat now. It has a never been wet remanufactured 454 and drive. New interior, etc. I'm working on a deal and hopefully will pick her up this Sat.

Dang it.... Sold. I knew what it was because my friends parents have had one since the mid 1980's. I should have just bought it on the spot. A little detailing and it could have been made into a showroom new boat.

I'm now looking at another Pachanga tomorrow. One owner since new. It was the Sea Ray display boat at the Vancouver boat show in 1987. All new upholstery, a good friend of my mothers, her husband owned an upholstery shop, their son runs it now. He added boat interiors a few years ago. I have word into him if anyone is doing upholstery work to ready a boat for sale, call me. So its a customer of his boat. Ready this thread, it fits my needs perfect. I go on a few trips with my immediate family, camping. Towing the combo can't be over 65ft. length. So with our set up, leaves me with 25ft or less that I can tow. I want 60 plus performance, no more then 22 ft. and small cabin too make full days on lakes more pleasurable. Sea Ray's ticks all these boxes.

We tried a sportmaster -2 lower on our 22 Pachanga. Was able to run 80.5mph with it briefly but could not hold it long enough to find out if it would go any further because it was too "out of hand". The standard bravo still is the fastest and best handling for our set up.

I noticed your pickup tube on the drive shower is really deep. Someone noticed mine on my P27 and I did research it. The angle \ is supposed to be almost flush with the top of the wing plate and no longer than 1/2 an inch. I couldn't believe it when I shortened both of mine. It really helped getting out of the water. It helped my prop blow-out. :D You have a really nice looking P22, I sure miss mine and my P27.

Good call, I have ran into a few boats (all different types) with this issue too. Caused props to slip more than usual. 1st one was mine, so easier to spot after that. LOL. Mine was adjustable and slid down without me noticing. Took a few days to figure it out by mistake. LOL.
