89-91 came with the Bravo drives both the Pachanga and the Regal are fun boats I have driven both over 80 mph with bigger power in them pick either one and you'll have fun with it. Guy here in VA has a 91 22 Pachanga new trailer an drive 454 w/ small blower Imco exaust and a bunch of other stuff on it, boat is in good condition runs low 80's now but has been 92 mph ( with 502 and a bigger blower ) old guy owns it an never takes it out he will sell but won't give it away. I can give you his # if your intrested he also had the Regal I drove before he ended up with the Pachanga.

the owners manual I had for the boat (scanned pdf) lists the deadrise as 22 degrees, beam as 8' and length of 20'-10" (bow to transom). which actually conflicts with the sales brochure for 91....so who knows how long the thing really is. lol.
just tossing it out there but if you like the Pachanga and Velocity you might also look into the Formula 206. they were only available with a small block but definitely in the same class of boat as the other two.

Thanks blckkat for the dead rise specs and that's the number I was hoping to see. You hit the nail right on the head in respect to the Formula 206, and it's ironic that I actually began my search researching Formula 206 boats which in turn led me to the Velocity and the Pachanga. They are all very similar hulls. I almost bought a Formula 206 LS, but the boat had a very unique outdrive (Alpha SS) with limited parts availability causing me to pass it up. I would actually be happy with a clean version of any of these three boats and have actually found there are more Pachangas for sale than the other two. I have found one really clean unmolested 87 small block Pachanga with 740 hours. I'm not sure that I want to purchase a boat with that many hours.

Hello all

I been reading many of these posts and have thoroughly enjoyed learning from you all. I have the 87 Pachanga (ugly green) that's is in "fair" condition but clean enough to enjoy as is. It has the big block 7.4 with the Alpha drive (600hrs both) that's all original and it runs WOT 58 gps. I took the original prop off and replaced it with a 19P 14-3/4 dia and it slowed only by one mph but gave a much better hole shot.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced a new crate 383 stroker with a new Bravo I drive replacing the Alpha?

Utski, what happened? Have you done test drives, made a decision?

Hey Padraig, I had one of the Pachanga 22 (5.7) go through a boat inspection which was passed with flying colors. Also had the Regal go through an inspection but they found several water leaks in the bellows and in the hose from the impeler to the engine. I like the Regals cabin better, but at this point, am nervous about the boat. I'm attempting to finalize the purchase of the Pachanga. Pics will get posteed if that works out. Ha...its the ugly green color hull, but is a clean boat.

Did they suspect bad stringers and or transom. If so stay away. Otherwise it is not a bad repair. Sounds like the Pachanga is OK.

Am heading down to Vegas to purchase the 87 Pachanga today. I turned a buddy of mine onto the regal velocity as he is a mechanic and previously worked for a boat shop. He agreed that the boat needs work at this time, but due to its rarity he is in the midst of discussions with the owner for a possible purchase. Since we boat together on occasion I may end up enjoying both boats. Pics will be posted.
