IPS 400 drive corrosion

I'm looking at buying a yacht with volvo IPS drives, yacht is about 8 months old and drives, props show major corrosion. Anybody have any experience with these?

Sounds reasonable will use my medical hammer, still can't find the starter though anybody have a schematic of the engine, should I be able to reach it from the top??

Volt meter reads 12 volt drops down when trying to start.

how far down is the starter, if it's at the bottom I cant get to it, will have to pull the motor.
any online schematics of a 496 HO

tried the battery from SB side had no problem starting starboard engine with it , same problem

My port engine is goes " click,..click click click " but fails to get the solenoid activated, sounds like a flat battery, changed batteries L to R
tried boosting can't get it started, don't know...

couldn't get hydro's went with bravo 1 24p very happy with it trims much better than rev 4's able to keep the bow down and get good trim for rough water.

Gear ratio is 1:1.36 props might have been labbed not sure.

Speed WOT is 80mph gps, concern is bow feels to light handles rough water much better with 2 heavy adults in V berth Anything up to 60mph I need to keep trim right down and sometimes use...

The top diagram is the SC5000 system I have SC1000 dual tach +speedo I have the Tach's connected as in 2nd diagram and speedo connected to tach's but no connection between sppedo and pitot ...

I Changed my Pitot gaffrig speedo to sc1000 smartcraft speedo but
my dealer has been unable to supply a cable to connect the new speedo to twin 496 HO's, anybody have a part no. for me???

Assuming your airconditioner and inverter works at 110v the unit will draw 3.9amp at 110v which is 429 watt to get 429 watt at 12 volt will use about 36 amps which will give you less than 2...

IF nothing else work you can try some spray-nine marine, don't know what it will do to leather surface,might want to try a small patch first, cleans mildew algae etc very well.

Have a 496 HO had a smartcraft 1000 monitor installed. It is not working, when engine is off it shows 3000 to 3700 RPM, fuel consumption etc erratic. Engine overheat alarm went off, monitor said 70...

The impeller blades need to be folded to fit, do I bend them clockwise or anti-clockwise,
