I have the same boat but with a 23 mirage plus, with quarter tank of gas and three people the best I have been able to get is 66.7 on a hand held garmin GPS. I did have her trimmed up pretty good

Putting silicone around the seal probably will not work . The seals are easy to replace so it is probably better to put new seals in .

I went ahead and changed the two seals between the heat exchanger and the crossover. The seals looked fine so I hope that fixed it. Mine must have also leaked last winter because I found anti-freeze...

Anti-freeze leaking from 496

I went out the other day to charge the batterys and noticed that the anti-freeze resivoir was empty .I did some looking around the bilg and found the missing anti-freeze . I started checking around...
