Looking for ideas on windshield for 1998 42 lightning

I have just purchased a 1998 Fountain 42 and am in the process of deciding what to do with the giant windshield that came on it. I understand that if I was a sensible person I would leave it alone....

Looking at a new boat that has trs drives I don't know anything about them. What kind of maintenance is involved anything else I should be aware of I have only had bravo 1 drives

Took the boat out again tonight between rain showers with two people and 3/4 tank. 4100rpm and 51mph GPS. Running a 21p mirage plus with a little scum on it. What to do? Is this slow or about right...

Thanks for the advice I will try to get back out there today and post my results. The 49 mph at 4000rpm was a GPS speed. Love the boat, just want to get the most out of it.
