Got the motor in ... and of course always wanting more... Put a blower on it and finally got to run it out hard today. Ran 88 gps turning a 30 bravo to 5500rpm.

Great thanks gents for the replies . Have a 10 quart canton marine pan on the motor. Will defiantly be getting a bigger cooler

Removing a mostly stock 502 mpi and replacing with a a built 555 making 650 ish HP.

Question is reusing the stock cooler that’s on the old motor now ( mercury ) or go aftermarket?

eplacing my 502mpi with a fresh 555 making around 650hp. Current drive setup is a bravo with 1.5 ratio and dual external steering rams. Boat is a 26 foot ( 99 model so really 24 foot running surface...

Don’t think the motor is stock. Bought it from a reputable OSO member that put Gil manifolds dry tips and some camshaft at the least in it. Runs right at 73-74 with two people and 3/4 fuel.

Would prefer to stay in the 99 or newer models. Prices seem to be very similar for a twin step 38 and 35s. Would it be fair to assume a 38 with t/s would be faster than a single step 35 with the same...

Currently in a 26 Velocity, and looking to step up to something a bit bigger and faster. Been looking at the 35 and 38 fountains. We rarely if ever overnight so the cabin space is mostly for storage...

Drive trim

Good morning,

Yesterday after a day on the water... Got back to the marina went to trim the drive up to be put in the barn and nothing...

It will trim down so guessing it's just the solenoid...
