I know quadrajets can be good carbs. My dad had one on his 78 chevy truck with a built 327. It was an off-road race truck and even on 35’s could smoke most 5.0 Fox body mustangs in my area in the 1/4.

thanks Bondo. I was actually looking at the 1410 as an option. I wasn’t sure if using a plate to adapt the square bore to spread bore would have any negative implications.
