More info
when the pump builds pressure and turns off the fuel pressure gauge goes to 0 the motor will start and and run and build pressure again also these seems to be happening at 1/2 of fuel all...

525 with whipple fuel pressure issue

Okay here is the issue
motor was dyno all good
motor has been used three times in the boat, Now when idling out or running out of no wear the fuel pressure drops off and stalls the motor or drops...

screw the 496 and the others Do a 540 dart marine motor making 650 hp and the x1 drive should be fine for about 10 to 12 k I have seen create motor built by marine guys for about 12k do some looking...

Good call thanks 65 to 70 in a 24 ft boat is fast enough on the water ill stay with the 750 double pumper the intake we are using is off the original 427 motor which i understand is a OEM vet intake...

its a 1979 super boat 24ft the boat was custom built at super boat in 79 for poker runs meaning its a little heavier then you would think it should be it handles 2/3 ft chop really well long island...
