My 311 was a sister to TomZ's (but with Bravo drives). They have a pump-out head and handle the rough well. User friendly and stable at speed (although I only saw 80.3 mph gps).

Same in my area. The last time I got approached (in a no wake zone) the authorities said to keep moving as they approached...they just wanted to see/hear the motors!

Where? It does get pretty cold (we had a two day freeze last year) and the winds blow out of the north-west (wind chill) in the Panhandle (at least west of Tallahassee).

This turned out to be the nylon washer/bushing...

This turned out to be the nylon washer/bushing (on both engines). Replaced and smooth as silk now.

2007 Optimax 225 hard shifting...

My (new to me) 2007 225 Optimaxs (only 250 hours) are hard to shift but when I unhooked the shift cable from the motor all was smooth.
Next step? Any recommendations?
