Going to get a lot of hate, but there are some decent EBAY knock off heads available. Some of the namebrand stuff is cast overseas anyway.

Mild soap or just regular all purpose cleaner...

Mild soap or just regular all purpose cleaner will do the trick. Gentle scrubbing. Remember to lube up the vinyl after since youre taking all the oil out of it.

Yeah the whole point is I like the mechanicals and want to learn along the way. It seemed to that whole rebuild kit was like $400 and so I thought it would be affordable to do the work myself.

Here are the pictures of the 350. You can see its casting number as well as the chipping. One of the pistons has some wear on the top, maybe from detonation?...
