I owned the boat for a couple of months, no help...

I owned the boat for a couple of months, no help from mercury, nasty soot on the transom. Added msd 6 (blue boxes), bosch platinum plugs, gapped @ .045 and eliminated about 80% of the soot.

38'donzi w/ a 12k unit and it keeps the cabin at 85 degrees on a 105 degree day.

i have same model year and boat but 500 efi's. boat runs 75 fresh water. b1's have been best i have tested. i run 28's for cruise & 26's for top speed. can tell u p5x's are terrible on these donzi's....

ITS A 2000, NOT THE DAYTONA OPTION, THAT IS GOOD SPEED AT THOSE RPMS. ARE THOSE GPS #s ?.
