Re: Boat Mart - scam?

I'm trying to think of a way to have a little fun with this guy, but it could be a automated response email and not a "guy" at all. Prick.

It's not as bad as last time - the buyer for my custom...

Re: carb idle tuning: neutral or in gear?

I'm using a secondary metering block WITHOUT idle mixture adjustment (2 corner idle). Does that mean it still feeds fuel to the secondary idle port and is not adjustable and contributes to the total...

Question can I remove deck hand rails?

My '89 Warlock has 2 stainless rails on the deck. It would reduce the total number of women that could lay out in the sun so they are obviously a problem (not a problem that I've had yet, but..) ...

Re: what type of hose fitting is this?

Stingray,

Boat is an '89 Warlock. The motor may / may NOT be the original one. I looked at the CAD files for fittings from Parker, and found one that is real close to matching the ones I have...

Re: what type of hose fitting is this?

PatriYacht,

I figured it was inverted flare like a brake fitting, but I've never seen fittings that large and I can't seem to find any 3/4NPT to inverted flare adapters.

The hose end has a...

All of the oil hoses for the oil cooler and remote filter use a female fitting like this? If you can't tell from the pic, the chamfer (sealing area) is higher in the center.......backwards from an...

Re: running on the hose - FYI

lauugihng tooo haard too avoiid ttypos.

I'm glad no one joked about the $3 part not needing to last as long (5 seconds) as the $50 dollar rubber. I left myself wide open for an easy comeback.

manual choke cable

Does someone make a cheap cable I could use for my manual choke? I got sick of the electric unit and converted to manual. I certainly don't need the strength of a Morse 33 for a choke. Any...

Re: oil cooler too small?

mopower,

thanks again. huge help. From what you've said, I should be able to live with a 3"x22" w/ p/s cooler from Eddie Marine. I can stick with the slip on 1-1/4" hose and switch to braided...

Re: oil cooler too small?

mopower,

thanks for the photos. So, the HP500 uses a 2"x17" or 3"x17"? I can't tell from the pic. A big thermo cooler and hoses / adapters / clamps to plumb it and you could easily hit...

Re: running on the hose - FYI

RedDog,

it must have held up 'cause she didn't have to clean pieces outta her oil cooler. It doesn't seem right that it is much easier to lube a $3 rubber than the $50 dollar one.

Re: wheel mag lock removal

air chisel. You don't have to cut / split the nut. Just cut a groove so the chisel has something to bite on and then turn the air chisel to drive the lock in the "loose" direction. 30 seconds, no...
