Way I see it I spend 5 minutes maneuvering in the marina compared to maybe 5 hours bouncing around at 40knots...so am trying...

$50k is [way] over budget....even if I get something for part exchange on my 454s...

Perhaps the story is that even with reconditioned motors and my TRS drives I can't get this to work out.

Bit too many $, unfortunately....to get it back to Europe I have to pay 17.5% tax (aside from shipping etc) which makes a reasonable boat in the US quite expensive in the UK....
