the 7.4 will make more torque only lower because of its CIs the 7.4 is a 454 where the 6.2 is a 383

ok hyper pistons are good for 600 hp, if you buy good ones
but forged will hold more, but you have to leave more room for them in the cylinders, but that wont matter because you wont be starting...

go with an msd set up, thats all i can say, but i would do a .035 gap instead, with good plugs and an msd set up you will be fine with .035

the comp hi tech are very good, the set i have used went to 8500 with 700 lift with no problems

but if you want the best spring all around, call PSI springs, they are costly but they are the best...

just to comment on your comment about exhaust scavenging, you wont really see a differance at the lower rpm ranges that these boats run in most of the time
