makes wd-40 & crc look like cooking oil, best penetrating
solvent i have ever seen you might try spraying some on it
let it sit...

more pics ,pulled the gas tank & the base is soft for that, right in front of the tank base is the master berth where a step-down pump is stringers are soft at the bottom
any suggestions?

yes they are the starboard is the worst that bulkhead supports
the gas tank & i have a feeling its filled w/ foam ,infront of that
is a berth which is damp on the starboard side , that is also...

what about the starborard & port bulkheads in the engine
compartment

starboard side is rotten thru out port side is not as bad
the stingers are rotten up to the gas tank which i about 5ft

shade tree worked well ,i m pissed at the machanic i pulled
out the motormount bolts by hand ALL four!!&didn t have a very hard time doing it ether they slid out like they were in butter :mad: he...

well it doesn't look good ,pretty water logged ,stringers are not looking healthy ether i'll try &get the motor out this weekend we ll go from there

1988 searay 268 sundancer as far as i can tell its delamanated up to the swim platform on the sarboard side

i ll take out the drain plug assembly tonight if
it will come out

i won't know till i pull everything & assess the damage
i have to figure out where i can get somthing to pull that
motor what ever i get its going to have to be somewhere
between 12-15ft,...

tommymonza i pray you are not correct but from the looks of it you may be, directly between the lower unit & drain hole
there is a crack in the fiber glass i did what you said & it does flex the...

both times i was running about 38-4200 rpm and it was like
the prop fell off engine smoking of rubber engine temp rose
quikly they said it was the clutch cost me $1200 to yank the
engine & have...
