It has under 8 hrs on it....I biult it for a smaller jet boat.Then sold the boat....It hasnt been ran since the heads were done.The short block was gone thru while it was there.They set the pump up...

Ok so I have a gen6 502.....with the stock lifters in it right know...I did have the comp cams in with .001-.002 clearance between the lifter bore and conecting bar....
I changed the lifters...

Water pump?

Putting a BBC in my boat.I have a volvo SBC in it know.with a crank mount sea pump.
Do I need to run a water pump and a sea pump?

I run a smaller boat with 330 hp and bounced off 5000/5100 @ 55mph........I am biulding a 502.Trying to get to 70 mph or close as possible.
Each prop size adds or removes approximately 300...

Sorry Russ...I missread your last post...If you are spinning 4600 F5s should put you at 4900 or so.What motor/and Boat are you running now?

I was told 300 rpm..I just switched to a set of F7s from F5s

Yes those numbers are at .050... and the water exits right at the end of the risers.They are nothing special...aluminum center risers.I do keep planning on calling you but keep forgetting until ...

The cam I currently have in the motor is a comp cams XR300HR-10
intake = .560/248
Exhaust = .580/254
110 lobe seperation
specs are with a 106 intake center line
This cam will cause...

I see people are running cams with a duration bigger than 232deg
Doesnt this cause reversion..

Hey guys..I am interested in reaching around 600 hp.I am having a hard time picking a cam.
I have a gen VI short block.compression should be 8:75.There is almost no time on the motor maybe twenty...
