you should hope it's a gasket and not a piston, i had a supercharger backfire and melted one, same symptoms as yours. good luck anyway.

The only negative iv seen on them is they don't have a self bailing cockpit, everthing gets drained through the bilge pump, and thats a big cockpit on that boat.

It is a Wellcraft scarab sport 302, it was for sale springtime early summer i saw it in the boatshopper i forget the dealers name,a place by the delaware, maybe dredge harbour, not sure the memory's...
