Cracked exhaust manifold?

Is there a way to determine if an exhaust manifold is cracked? Or do you simply eliminate all other causes (cracked head, bad head gasket, cracked block) and assume?

Wondering if a local marine...

Update. I pulled off the manifold today and the exhaust chambers all had very minor surface rust. Nothing to worry about so I'm happy to say that I caught it all in time. I hosed everything down...

I had an incident on the lake last weekend. Not quite sure of root cause at this point but the boat was overheating. I shut the boat down and got it home. I pulled all the plugs. 7 of 8 of them...

GEN V 502 Heads on 454 MPI

Two question. First off, will a Gen V 502 heads bolt-on to a Gen VI 454 MPI?
Second, does it offer any performance benefits? The particular heads in question are Mercruiser "Hi-Perf" heads.
