Question Performance of a 260SX Powerquest

Does anybody have experience with 260 Powerquests as to engine/drive modifications and what top speed was obtained and any handling issues?

Are you saying that the 260SX doesn't respond well to increased power? Is this because of the hull design or another factor?
I would have thought with the addition of 250HP speed should increase...

I have a 2001 260SX e/w 496-375Hp Volvo and a DPX Duo Prop drive. I am thinking about increasing power and am wondering if anybody has any experience with this on a 260, and if so what the results...

Are the hinges exposed on the hatch--if so maybe you can drill out the pins instead of cutting them off.

Question Fluctuating Oil Pressure Gauge @ 4500...

The Oil pressure Gauge on my Volvo 496 Mag starts to fluctuate as the engine approaches 4500+ rpm. Up to 4500 it runs @ 60 psi, once I hit 4500 it fluctuates between 40-50 psi, if I slow down below...

I have a 260 Powerquest Legend e/w 496 Mag and a Volvo DPX drive--to date I have not had any problems with the drive. The boat has 150 hours on it and top speed is around 60mph.
