try indexing the spark plugs.i ran a 2 inch spacer under my carb.also try taking some of the timing out thats good for some top end power.

i have a 97 mercruiser gen v raw water pump that has the fuel pump mounted on it.is it ok to remove the fuel pump and block off the hole with a big block block off plate...so i can run a high flow...
