you are correct sir , the water lines from the t-stat to the manifolds were just temporary for starting on the ground , they are not meant to be on there for the finished product
i like clear lines...

496 manilfolds bolt to the head the same as 454/502 , only thing to adapt is the oil filter mount on one side and the shift quadrent on the other , i choose to relocate both to the transom

the down side is there hours , opening around 6am and closing at 9pm , there gates are locked thruout the night

Man , my first checkmate was an 88 enforcer but mine was the 330hp 454 and bravo1 , ran real good but was still just a 65 mile per hour boat , and you have to throttle past the chine walk to get that...

it was my boat for 1 year , the boat was solid but the power was problematic , kept going thru lower units , top ends couldnt figure out if they wanted to run cold or hot , the outboards finilay...
