Looks like You are spinning 'IN" and have a notch. I measured this AM and I think the 5 will be about 1-2" below bottom with a 3" spacer

and I can use up to a 3” spacer too. The fact that there is no cavitation plate on a 5 and the added height my not allow it to plane off but Im halfway thinkin it may work with a 4 or 5 blade?

yea im sure, nothing as far as alignment is gonna break the lower gearset on 4 different drives. I wouldnt expect a 3 to take the abuse but i DID expect the 3a to hold up. Rh lower drive, by design...

All the 3A are big shaft, trust me I never thought it would be a problem. Lasted about 50hrs behind 950hp, 17x30 3 blades @ 5" below the bottom. I run it hard, never really "airs out" its a Mistress...
