That would be salt water spray hitting aircraft. You'll note I said water vapour. If the boat is being stored any water vapours in the exhaust won't contain salt unless liquid salt...

If I didn't make it clear earlier in the thread. Water, (of any kind) will have to be kept away from the cat. As the Gibbs Aquada (amphicar) did, you will have to use reversion devices or a "u bend"...

Then you (the boaters) and the small manfacturers need to lobby the CARB/EPA so that emissions credits are a free market not an in-house stitch up. I'm sure that it would be very easy to make a case...

The regs have so little WOT weighting that they are basically designed to mean you have to run closed loop at part load and the WOT stuff you can do pretty much anything you want to keep things cool....

Well for me, blueing of the rods from the small end down to mid rod is quite normal with induction heated rods with a freeze fitted wrist pin. The process is quite variable so I wouldn't worry about...
